It’s been a while since I sketched the boats on the harbour and I had forgotten how lovely it is there. I’ve been experimenting with colours a little and aiming to capture some of the beautiful light and gentle motion of the water:

Yes, I was using caran d’ache – I may paint these over the weekend
That’s nice. I use Faber Castell. They’re of quite nice quality but can sometime be grainy if water is not used. But looking at your pieces, caran d’ache seems to give off nice colors. Maybe I’ll use them!
